I -have- tried as many strategies as I could think of, but none work! Defender seems to be horribly glitched; it didn't do a thing in the Chary fight (e.g. things like Bio and Cocytus weren't reflected, yet -Ishutal- reflects all-party spells, even though only one of her parts has reflect... Grr grumble bitter spite grumble) Using Defender to reflect Chary's god-spells is the only way I can think of to not get ruthlessly slaughtered. And due to an f-ing glitch, Defender doesn't reflect spells! GAH!!! >:( Just what level am I supposed to be?! I also don't think I have enough AGI, as I simply can't heal myself fast enough while still getting enough damage in that so that the blue bits don't heal everyone to full. T.T The fact that Mend simply doesn't heal enough -doesn't help either-. Make sure that there's a full-party healing spell that actually heals enough to be worthwhile next time! (Mend lvl 2 only heals about 3,500 HP...not enough.) Maybe I should level myself to level 99, then try?! Is that the only way to get past this point?! GAH!!! >:(

Gah! Just what level do you recommend for fighting Chary, Harmonic? I'm at levels 70-75 and I'm still getting owned. Just how long do you want me to grind?! >:(

Chary is Charybdis, the boss monster at the "lava core". Your Cursed Helm gets turned into a super helm that doubles your defense if you kill him.

Oh, and I don't think that Alma's Reflect status works. I tried it in the Charybdis fight, and it didn't reflect Bio/Cocytus/Frostbite/Cleansweep. T.T There goes plan B... And also, what's the skull-and-crossbones ability on Gain's skill tree? It gives me a buzzer sound like Alma's Dominant Will did before I beat Shinryuu. How do I get it?

T.T Okay, but don't make it impossible unless you do a ridiculous amount of leveling. And don't put the uber-spells there next time, either. In fact, here's an idea: DON'T HAVE SCROLLS FOR ANY OF THE UBER-SPELLS -AT ALL-! T.T Ugh. I hate having the requirements for the uber-spells twenty levels before I actually get the scrolls. Blargh. It's a good game other than that, but make LoD 2 a bit more user-friendly, m'kay? This is a game, not a grind-fest. T.T

Thanks, Nuke! :D So, I know where the crystals are. Now if only I can get to the bottom of the DVD alive... T.T I'm going to try and beat Chary first, though. My party's level 70-75. Is that high enough to not get owned by him? And where do you get Apocalypse? Bottom of the DVD?

And is there an item that doubles Agility? There's already the Grandmaster's Robe, the uncursed Cursed Helm, (I don't know what it's called, but my friend told me about it) and I assume the improved SoL or Apocalypse doubles Strength, so is there something that doubles Agility as well?

Hey, nuke! Where can you find the crystals? I assumed that they were at the bottom of the DVD, is that true? (My friend has gotten there and says that they aren't there) And what's Apocalypse? (A tribute to FF, obviously. Let me guess...doubles Strength?) And my party's level 66-71, but I'm still getting owned by monsters in the hot magma areas of the DVD. :/ Recommended level? I want to clear out the entire dungeon, but I can't do that if I'm constantly getting killed...

No, you have to wait until Act VI to get past him. And you actually beat him?! o.O You are not supposed to be able to beat him at that point in the game. He's supposed to beat the stuffing out of you so you don't go any further.
And also, anyone know where the four crystals the evil pair of pants wants you to get? He says they're in the DVD, but he's not specific...
